I am working on my first Photgrammetry 3D model mission in DJI Terra v3.9.0. I've imported around 7,000 images. I've successfully imported them and started my GCP managment proces. I ran aerotriangulation in GCP managment and successully marked my photos to the GCPs.
Next, I am trying to run the optimize step, but I am getting an error at around 50% complete. I'm watching my CPUs on my computer and they are reaching 100%, then the tool fails. Is there something wrong with DJI Terra or is there something wrong with my computer and it's ability to run these tools? I'm listing my computer's processor below. I've also attached my error log from DJI terra if anyone wants to take a look at that. Apparently you can find out what the error message means using this link: https://terra-1-g.djicdn.com/851d20f7b9f64838a34cd02351370894/DJI%20Terra/%E5%85%B6%E4%BB%96%E6%96%87%E6%A1%A3/%E4%BA%A7%E5%93%81%E7%9B%B8%E5%85%B3/DJI%20Terra%20Error%20Code%20Guide.pdf But my error code isn't on the list... My error log is saying my exit with = "exit with -1073741819".
I'm curious how many photos people are able to process using their machines. I'm also curious if this is something i should reach out to DJI support for, or if this is something I can fix on my own. Thanks everyone.
My computer's processor:   Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz   3.19 GHz
Installed Ram: 64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

7000 images is way too many.  Separate the dataset by creating smaller areas.  Make sure the area have an overlap of a few meters, then merge them with GIS software.

Sorry for the issue, I will double confirm this with our engineers and will keep you updated.

Thanks LV_Foresty, my original dataset actually includes around 11,000 images, so the 7,000 I'm trying to process is a sample of the original data. However, seems like trying to divide the area into even smaller samples is a good option. I think I will see how the software (and my computer) handles an area that contains around 2,000 images.

Youre welcome

I suggest you use more serious photogrammetry solutions than Terra, like Metashape server in order to be able to manage such a large dataset without having to buy a computer which costs a fortune.
