will there every be an update for the phantom's to have a follow me feature. this feature is on other drones on the market and would be very beneficial.

+1  I'd like this. If it could use more information besides only GPS that would be good as well. Would be great for biking.

As a newbie i could be talking rubbish here, but could you not turn on Dynamic home point on the App and then set the controller to home lock to achieve a similar thing?

I believe home point is just where the Phantom takes off from,if you moved to another place it will come back to where it took off from.I may be wrong though.

Home point is where you initially took off from, dynamic home point is where the transmitter is at any one point in time. So if you don't move your location, your dynamic home point will stay with your transmitter.

But once the Phantom is in Failsafe, Home Lock ceases to be dynamic. This means that it will go back to the  location of the Tx at the time it went into Failsafe and will not follow the location of the Tx subsequently.
