I just upgraded from DJI Mini 3 to the Mini 4 and I am wanting to use a microphone. I have been seeing Youtube videos showing how they were compatibile with the Mini 3 but thus far I have had no luck with wired USB mics on the Mini 4. Am I doing something wrong? Before I fork out money on a wireless mic like the one offered by DJI, I want to make sure the Mini 4 is capable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it just plug and play? I have one very similar to that one if not the same exact one, I plug it in and nothing shows up on the RC2 to suggest it recognizes it. I did a test record and played it back, but still no sound.

One of the youtube videos showed on the DJI3 that a wired mic would show recognized on the RC with a "headphone icon" in the top right after swiping down in settings but I'm not seeing anything like that.

There is absolutely zero instruction or direction from the DJI website on this which is surprising. You'd think something like an audio feature for high quality film footage would be something they'd cover.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Due to the lack of a built-in microphone in DJI RC 2, when using DJI RC 2 for live streaming, an external microphone is required to pick up the audio. We recommend using DJI Mic for better sound quality. Thank you for your valued support.

You need to turn on screen recording and start talking, play the screen recording and you should have sound. Worked for me.

Here's a helpful video on screen recording with mic audio. He's using a wireless mic but same steps if its a wired mic...
