Has anyone tried installing the new firmware and using the intelligent flight controls (waypoints/follow me/ POI) on their Phantom 3 Pro/Advanced yet?  If so, please share your thoughts/feedback.

No update for the RC if you have done the Phantom then you are ready to fly
As for the original question/ost. The new features work very well..

Installed this morning, flew with two batteries, everything worked well, and you do not need to update the controller if you already have the newest version. Only thing is orbit mode, make sure you are directly over whatever it is you want to orbit, other then that all works well!!

The waypoint function is flawless, at least for me that like to video and photo objects. First i do a route and can fine tune the positions of waypoints. Then I run the waypoint mission and able to have full focus on what to film or shoot photo on. I really like the waypoint function.

I can't seem to find the new controls? I have updated the app and the new firmware. So where do i access these new features?

Really sucks that for waypoints you need to fly the route manually first.. I've seen videos for older Phantom model where you could define waypoints offline and then have the Phantom fly the course automatically.
Is this something you can introduce later on?

I found it, you have to take off first and then set the switch on the remote to F, then you will get the new settings

Yeas in F mod, follow me and POI are amazing !

Have not had the time yet to update the firmware and weather is not exactly helpful either. After having read the first comments I was a bit disappointed that you have to pre-fly your route, but Ethan you think of it it is not that bad. I would have normally walked the route first to find out what the obstructions are. So actually ok, although it would be nice to set the flight path off-line. Would a pre-recorded flight plan in the simulator work as well (worth trying as alternative to pre-programming).
Really look forward to the weekend to try and fly!!!!

finally an update that is genuinely good and has some great features - my P3P is now worth its money! very happy with the performance and what it offers me now.

I am having the same exact problem.  I updated to firmware 1.3.20 today that worked fine.  The I update to 1.4 on the Drone and that worked fine.  But no matter what I try on the RC. Nothing will work!

sploodge and NaplesFlyer:  Some others on this thread indicated that the firmware update is only for the Phantom and not the RC.  As NaplesFlyer indicated right above, 1.3.20 is all you need on the RC for it to work.
