I just purchased one today, aside from not recentering properly after a panning shot, I am now getting gimbal protection going on. This is really frustrating as I never had this in my DJI Pocket 2.
Hi there, thank you for reaching out. If the gimbal is still in the stored protection and cannot be unlocked due to a "Gimbal Protection" warning is shown, please follow the steps below.
1. Firstly, please ensure that the firmware version is the latest version. If not, please update it first via the DJI Mimo app.
2. If the gimbal protection mode cannot be exited, and there is no response following a tap on the screen, press and hold the record button for 10 seconds to forcibly power off the device, and then power on the device. Alternatively, update the firmware via the DJI Mimo app.
3. Please verify if the product is undergoing continuous power cycles (the gimbal is powered on and off continuously within 3 seconds or powering on and off repeatedly within a short period of time).
* Due to the large thrust required for locking and unlocking the gimbal, continuous output in a short period of time may result in the inability to unlock or lock the gimbal tightly. It is recommended not to frequently power on or off the device.
4. Please confirm if the device has been stored below 0 degrees or if the current ambient temperature is below 0 degrees.
* When the ambient temperature drops below 0℃ or when the product is brought indoors from
a 0℃ environment, the gimbal axis lock may become difficult to release. It is recommended to use the product within the operating temperature range to avoid such situations.
5. After entering OTG mode, it will automatically switch to "gimbal protection" status. When exiting OTG mode, to prevent it from automatically starting while lying flat, you need to manually click to restore after unplugging the cable.
6. Power off the device, and check if there are any foreign objects (e.g. sand) between the axis arms. If yes, clean off the objects and restart the gimbal.
Note: In OTG connection mode, gimbal protection is enabled automatically to make it more convenient to place the gimbal. After exiting the gimbal protection mode, a manual operation is required for restoration. This is not an exception.
Please keep us updated on the progress. |
