The current was really racing through there this morning with all the rain weve had.  It finally stopped here for a bit.

Great shot DA.    That shot says bundle up and welcome aboard.  Spindrift is an interesting name for that sailboat.  Spindrift in nautical terms means the spray of salt water blown along the surface of the sea in heavy winds.

I just drove past the River Chelmer and the fields around it are now lakes.

It's going to be a beautiful day, but there's a lot of mist still hanging in the valley.

I've had the Mini3Pro aloft this morning.
It's going to be a beautiful day, but there's a lot of mist still hanging in the valley.

Cold and overcast here although whilst I was driving the sunrise was quite a good one,    Im told that the 10 days forecast is looking up here with no rain too.    I just need to find some more inspiration.

I did a test with mine and it ran for 9 hours on the power bank and still had a full battery in the pocket 3.

50/50 cloud here,   going to take a walk down to the sea front and I might try a little lapse there.   The SWMBOd wants to check the damage to the fence and give her verdict on how many panels I need to go and get when they get stock.

I had planned en excursion for today, but the looks of the sky makes me think it may not be worth it.

My brain is failing but last night there was somewhere in the Peak District that was massively flooded and I was gong to ask if you were going to check it out.,   Now I google to see if I can find it and theres quite a few bad floods.  doh.

I did go out after all, as the weather improved.  Took a walk around Ladybower, and encountered a guy flying his Mini3Pro, so mine stayed in its bag while i watched him filming the plughole - and then to our horror watched in drop in
I was just about to warn him not to get too low, as the wind vortex caused by the water plunging down the plughole would drag it in, but he'd already done it.  RTH couldn't save it and nor did pressing the UP stick. I commiserated with him for a while, but he seemed philosophical about it and reckons he can claim it on his household insurance ( NO DJI Care Refresh).  What his wife said to him as he walked back to join her in the car, I shudder to think.

Oh blimey,   I never realised those holes had that much suction,    did he not get any warning or did he not slowly descend.

One minute he was hovering about ten metres up, the next he began his descent. I lost it from view against the trees ( he was to my right with a straight view over the water). Before I could speak, it was gone. I saw him push up on the stick, and then dart forward to the stone wall, but neither of us could see it.

Just waiting on the snow to start,   Im prepared to be disappointed,  but then if it doesnt snow we have apparently the largest delivery of log rounds weve ever got from our friend tree guy later,  god knows where Im going to put it all though.

Heavy clouds here which look snow-threatening. But lots of blue sky around them too.

A bit of variety. No change here but 1 degree C. Shopping now
