oh im home, just waiting for jim to also ask to buy an ios device!!!
i would give him mine but then ...
did you get the email ?
i am thinking of modding my TX too for external antennas to make an in car ground station, not sure if should go bare antenna or with a TX booster/amplifier!!
yeah but in the metal jungle i live in the signal goes out after 200 feet, so it needs fortifying to withstand the RF pollution i live in, plus you would be shocked to see my spectrum analyzer screen with every frequency being active, i am surprised i can make it 200 feet without getting my signal cut off, remember our flight we went 8000 feet without any mods and it was good all the way.
how about the channel mod? but if i was going to do a mod i would do a mobile one, not omni directional in a car., the rc mods that most people do creates a narrower beam, right?

Mostly circular polarization antennas are narrow beam, patch antennas are a wider beam and both are concentrated in 90 degree beam or less if using long boom ones, patch antennas could be stuck on the side windows of the car towards the side you are going to fly and you will be golden, otherwise on the controller if you choose the tiny patch antenna.
