Hi guys, I'm Murph from a harbour town called Cobh (pronounced Cove) in Co. Cork Ireland, complete newbie thats just learned his lesson by buying a cheap drone off Amazon to find it was total Sh*te, did one thing one day, do the same thing the next day using the same buttons as before and it did somthing totally different, Buy cheap buy twice is the saying i think. Anyway i've decided to get a DJI Mini SE soon and tried to download DJI fly on my tablet only to find it wanted a subscription for payment, followed GAVINHR's video by using an apk installer and it starts to install but comes up it has encountered a Parse error ???  (yes i spelt it correctly)  Pulling my hair out after trying for 3 solid hours with still no luck. Can some kind soul please help a newbie as its putting me off purchasing the mini, thanks in advance

Users will be able to use the app with all its features for free. What you might have was the one from the Play Store. Below are the sample screenshots from the App which was not from DJI:

Thanks Gamora, i'll give it a go, I've tried an apk installer and scanned the qr code and still not happening for me , the above is the link i tried 3 times to no avail i'll update this post later

Jesus this is more painful as pulling me own teeth, another two hours and still nothing doing, is there another earlier version i could try or any other suggestions please ?  The tablet is an old Acer that downloaded and installed the app for the one from Amazon with no problems at all , i tried the DJI app on me other half's phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S5 and again had the same results as the tablet.  Surely i don't have to shell out on new devices first before i can even get the app then more expense on the DJI Mini 2 SE do i ?  Almost on the verge of giving up !!!

The tablet you are trying to load it on may be too old to take a current version of the Fly App.  You can find  a complete list of older versions here.  Make sure your older tablet has a 64 bit processor as the Fly App is not compatible with a 32 bit processor.

Hi, Murphcobh. Thank you for the update. DJI officially recommends that the user use the latest App version, because there may be bugs in the old version that will cause new problems such as app crashes or missing functions and so on, which will affect the customer experience. Do your phone and tablet have a 64-bit processor? Our applications are 64-bit so it needs a 64-bit system as well.

Looks like i can buy the DJI mini 2 se which is fine for me, but need to also buy a mobile phone which i don't really want for anything else but downloading and using the DJI FLY app, I've looked through the compatibility list for the phones that the app supports and they are all megabucks, cheapest mini 3 with pre loaded app and screen is €561 for the cheapest i could find and that was used condition, this is getting ridiculous now, no disrespect intended everyone but I think DJI just shot themselves in the foot as to getting my custom, I'm a retired paramedic pensioner and wanted a new hobby, not going to be drones now by the looks of it, maybe i'll take up knitting !! Thanks to the folk that tried to help me, much appreciated.

What is going on with the dji fly app, it wouldn't work so I deleted it and tried to reinstall it only for it to not work?
I now can't get any of my footage from my recent trip?
Is this happening to anyone else?

thank you for reaching out.

Please download the latest version of the APP from the DJI official website instead of from Google Play.  Then, click on "More Details" then click on "Install Anyway" to install. Or you can also follow this path to turn off Google Play Protect options and test again: Google Play — Profile — Play Protect — Setting — Turn off below two options — Re-install App and test again.

Please keep us updated on the progress.
