Notes

• Restart the aircraft, remote control device, and goggles after the firmware update is complete.

The Avata-2 would have been more successful if it had been possible to fly it with goggles 2 and rc2 from the previous avata-1.  Everyone wants to have several drones in one goggles2 helmet.

The Avata-2 would have been more successful if it had been possible to fly it with goggles 2 and rc2 from the previous avata-1.  Everyone wants to have several drones in one goggles2 helmet.

Some of the review videos have said that goggle 2 support is coming in a later firmware upgrade.

Received my Avata 2 today and updated the firmware as prompted by the DJI Fly app. Googles and Motion are now on latest version V01.00.0100 but the Avata 2 is stuck on V01.00.0000 and there is no further prompt for a firmware update.

Worst of all the googles are now reporting incompatible firmware for aircraft/goggles/controller and it won't go away. Not a great introduction to your new model.

Please help and rectify this for me.

Hi all. Avata 1 users have Integra, Googles 2 and FPV Remote Controller 2 so If Avata 2 can be compatible with this all products, it will be better for old users.

I have the same issue.
Goggle 3 was updated to v01.00.0100
Motion 3 was updated to v01.00.0100
Avata 2 is still on v01.00.0000 and I get error "incompatible firmware" but DJI Fly App does not offer firmware update.

DJI Assistant 2 recognizes the Avata 2 but shows no firmware, the error message is "Cannot load firmware list"
For all my other devices (Air 3, RC2, Move 3, Goggle 3) the assistant works well.

Same issue for me too, pretty annoying, hopefully they can rectify it asap!

Same issue for me. DJI, please fix this ASAP!

Echoing the same incompatible firmware version alert yet reporting no new firmware versions.  I can already see by the number of people posting this problem, it's going to be an issue for many.

Same here. I wonder if they pulled the Avata 2 FW in the last 24 hours.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see..

I’m having the exact same issue. Very frustrating!

typical DJI garbage software / firmware issues. No surprise that it doesn't work. Sending this junk back.

Same problem here. Unable to fly at the moment.

DJI Assistant 2 works and reinstalls firmware updates on the MC and goggles without issue. But when you connect the drone, it won't even load the firmware list.  Did anyone update the firmware on their goggles and MC before the drone? Is there an update sequence we got wrong?

Update as of 23:13 GMT on 12APR. They DID just push a new FW and I was able to update the Avata 2 and no more warnings!

This update, V01.00.0200, resolves our problem. I just installed it and can confirm it work properly.

new update fixed it. glad to see they pushed out an update quickly to resolve this issue.

Could everyone confirm aircraft is at .0200 goggles and controller at .0100 as mine is.

Sorry just paranoid now but not getting the incompatibility warning anymore.

That's where the versions currently stand. You're good!

Do not update to 0.02 for avata 2 drone
It will break the FCC ham file mod and it won't work on it anymore. You will be stuck in CE mode if not in the US

Because it's an Avata. New drone, old issues.

Has anyone had problems with recording a video only to find it did not actually record? Also issues with incorrect date/time of file?

This update, V01.00.0200, resolves our problem. I just installed it and can confirm it work properly.

How did you install the update? The DJI fly app called for a firmware update at the time I activated the avata 2 and went through the update procedure but did not update to the latest version. I am getting the not matching firmware error in my googles.

I got it to update. I had to use my PC and update the DJI assistant app to the latest version so it would see the firmware update for Avata 2. The Googles and Motion controller 3 was at the latest version from updating from the DJI fly app.
