Interesting find DA.  From Billy's video it appears the quality and craftsmanship of this drone is greatly improved.  I think the Avata 2 may be the go to drone for beginners.

Cool! Are you going to be flying fast in S or M mode? If yes, it would be nice if you posted some videos of you flying instead of just photos. BTW did you get it from Argos?

I plan to fly it in M mode with some practice.  If you want to see some flying videos from my other drones you can check out my YouTube channel.

You should try DJI Virtual Flight. It gives you a really good tutorial on how to fly in M mode.

Virtual flight has been discontinued.  Which is sad as I used to use it and had planned to connect the avata 2 to it.

No, Virtual Flight has not been discontinued, at least not for my iPad.

You can continue to use it but it will no longer be updated,  they have moved the simulator to the explore section of the DJI App Store app.

Oh yes. That's what you mean. It's a real shame, because the one in the store isn't as good.

I dont seem to be able to connect the goggles to the new version either which is a real shame.

Theres no option I can find to do it,   unlike the old version where it came up on the main screen.

Virtual Flight doesnt connect to the goggles and in the DJI Store app you only get on screen controls and no option I can find to connect the goggles.

I have the DJI Fpv and love that potato lol I now love the avata 2 I get the best of both worlds. If its a tight fit avata 2 can do it. If you need the power and speed the flying potato got you covered.

I’ve never removed Billy’s subscription on YT even during my three years without a drone. Nice kid and great review. Have you seen his latest crashing the Avata 2 several times at the same location

Yes,   he managed to eject the battery and it still flew afterwards.

First time I've seen a battery eject on the Avata 2 - though he did smash into rebar so no shocker lol

But the main thing is it flew again without repair which is promising.

It's amazing right. Dustin Dunnill lost signal during a range test and it flew down through a tree dodging the branches to land safely

Did you see the Drone Wilder test,    he found the real limit was the battery not the signal.

Not as yet - Dustin reached 4.25KM with no signal loss and only turned around due to the battery. He lost signal on the first attempt due to the battery going into auto landing through a tree as he totally depled it in flight.
