There are two USB ports on P3 standard. One is underneath the body near the camera. The other is on P3 itself. For capturing the videos I connect the one close to the camera, because the other one does'nt seem to work. Do i need to install a driver for that?

The one on the P3 body is used to retrieve the flight data diagnostic logs from an on-board SD card within the P3.
To access the data you need to enable "Enter flight data mode" and connect from that usb port to your computer.
