since the new hardshell backpack from DJI suits the iPad Mini only, is there anyone of you that can fit the iPad Air/Air 2 as well? Could you post pictures?
I would stay with the Air/Air 2 but it's very important to fit the tablet inside the backpack.

I put my iPad Air 2 under the foam of the lid/ back. It' s easy, just pops out from the cover.
Thin enough that if shouldn't place any extra strain onto the drones top.
I keep it down at the bottom, so it's mainly above the radio controller anyway.
simple ways for difficult problems, i'll report to our designers, so future backpacks will have some more space for different sizes of pads, maybe even iPad pro
It's the best option, placing it under the foam.
Particularly for In the future, should you decide to sell the case for a different Model.
So it's not been altered by hot knives and redesign ideas or techniques. Weakening the structure as well.
Buy an Inspire 1 device holder, and you will be fine.
The iPad Air isn't much heavier than an iPad Mini. Doesn't affect your radio stability, or balance.
