I shoot everything is HEVC and not (yet) in the "PRO" mode.

My question: If I would shoot in the "PRO" mode, and enable the "D-Log M", would the file size be larger than I have now, if i shoot exactly the same footage?

You can enable these settings and you will see how the remaining recording time on your SD card will decrease.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Yes, shooting in "PRO" mode with "D-Log M" enabled on your DJI Osmo Pocket 3 will likely result in larger video files compared to using the standard video mode. Here's why:

1) D-Log M: D-Log M captures a wider dynamic range with more color information compared to the standard video profile. This additional data requires more storage space, leading to larger file sizes.

2)PRO Mode: PRO mode typically offers higher bitrates compared to standard video mode. Bitrate refers to the amount of data used to store video information per second. A higher bitrate translates to better quality and more detail but also increases file size.

You can also refer our User manual page 318 for more details regarding this at

Thank you for your understanding and support!
