LOL. Indeed!!

Upgraded to iOS 9 yesterday on my iPad Mini 2 and used the DJI Go App with no issues. I did a test flight around a baseball field and kept the height below 75 feet in case things went haywire. Will be doing more test flights once the weather clears but initial flight after update was smooth.

BTW, just got the information that DJI GO is not  perfectly compatible with iOS 9, so don't be hurry to upgrade

Any indications on the potential problems Tim.   Just so we can judge the risks of flying?    Are Dji saying don't fly with iOS 9 or is it just minor issues?

Already updated today, and have flown tonight. All is still well, here. ;-)

2 weeks ago, when I asked about iOS 9 compatibility on this forum, I was answered it was OK... by you.
Beta versions are out since months now so DJI had a lot of time to be ready with an app fully compatible with the new Apple OS.
And today, 2 days after iOS 9 launch you write here there are some problems but cant tell us what kind of problem we may encounter.

Are there some professionals or some people not considering customers as idiots in you company ?
No need to answer, I already know...

I even downloaded latest iOS upgrade but before I push install I decided to read a bit remarks in the network. So conclusion is better to wait until DJI make some changes in the DJI GO?

i have picture freeze and loss of picture in the DJI Go ap even when i am holding my P3Pro on one hand and the CR on the other. Really hope these fellas get it fixed pretty soon.

Well, I just ordered a P3A and an ipad 4 mini which I am sure will be shipped with iOS 9 on it.

I also just upgraded my iphone from and iphone 5 (not compatible) to a 6 which could be used as a back up, but again it will ship with iOS 9.

So now what? I am grounded until you fix it? How long will that be?

Incredible. I have been running Beta 9.1 on my iphone and iPad for quite some time now. How is it that DJI has not thoroughly tested this before iOS 9 was launched? You had to know when that was coming.

I just don't understand how one hand does not know what the other is doing in this company. It seems more like just push crap out the door to grab as many sales and profits as quickly as you can without regard to customer experience or consequences.

Have just taken my P3A out (everything has latest firmware) with an iPad Mini 2 with iOS 9 and DJI v 2.2.0 (2115). I'm also getting a rhythmical picture freeze. There doesn't appear to be a comms issue between the RC and the P3A and once the picture starts to freeze, it seems to persist even if you bring your P3 back close. Anyway, it's not an enjoyable experience as it stands, so go with DJI-Tim's advice and hold off upgrading to iOS 9. The advice was too late for me, alas.

Boys, I Thought he was Only pulling my leg. My bird still flies fine, so I have complete faith and trust in DJI.
& If there was an issue using iOS9 with Go App, somebody surely would have brought this up, long before last night.
Some of you continue to have problems, just as it's been from the beginning 6 months ago. NOT THE FAULT OF IOS9

I think there may be an issue with iOS 9 a the new iPad mini 4. Complaints on the pilots forum.  

Oh, I just ordered an 64GB iPad 4 mini!

I have been running DJI GO on an old 16GB iPad Air with no problems. The problem is that the old air gets a little heavy on the RC tablet mount and you find your tablet deciding to become the antenna or failing off which is not good in flight.

Looks like I'll have to wait for the update from DJI - which I'm sure will not be too long - hopefully! Until then I stick with the air.

Took some video from above, of a couple of different guys, flying their large heli's.
This weekend was the last ERCHA free-fly event for the year. A lot of fun, for everyone involved.
Awesome Camaraderie, great bbq food, & some ice cold drinks to wash it all down.

My Phantom 3 Pro' still flies great, much like she had, on day one, only better.
All updated firmware and/or Pilot~Go App have been a great success for me.
Could I be any happier? Sure, with two trouble free Phantom 3 Pro' models. ;-)

For now, no problems, no lag, no overheating.
Not tested in flight...

Why does DJI not state this instead of "compatible with iOS 8.1 or later"

Probably because it's basically well tested, and deemed compatible?
They test the heck out of this stuff, and look for awkward behavior.
There are way more happy Phantom Pilots than disgruntled ones. Just a few clients with concerns.

Agreed. No problem here, but maybe I'm lucky.

As a remark I had video lag that I never had before on an iPad Air. I discovered that this lag happens only if I switch off cellular data ... Strange enough ...

I am trying the latest version of the apple ios on my ipad mini 4 and I cant access any of the waypoint functions, poi, etc. They just dont show up when swithing into the correct mode. please help

I dont think so but I will check, I spoke with a DJI rep they told me that the intelligent flight modes aren't available yet on the matrice. They said we would have to wait on a firmware update. Is this true?

Ditto here.  Just started happening after my upgrade to 9

I just started having lag issues with video after updating my iPone 6 as well.  Hope it gets resolved soon.

I turned on the matrice and  checked what you intelligent flight mode status and it says CL
What does this mean? All i have the option of is Course Lock!  Is the Matrice capable of the additional features or do we have to wait for a firmware update? Thanks for the help
