I’m having a major issue with the SDR transmitter overheating. I was shooting in an air conditioned office yesterday with the transmitter sending a signal to one receiver in control mode with wifi enabled. Fans were set to high. I tried powering it with a dummy battery and then an NPF battery, so I could move the transmitter away from the monitor incase the monitor heat was causing an issue. Both times it worked for about 30min to an hour before dropping the signal and giving an overheating warning.
It smelled like the plastic was burning. Surely this is a defective unit, right? Is anyone else having this issue?
Needless to say, my client was unhappy

same here.. i think its a unit default, first time use mine, and overheated like you say, someone bring his unit,
and no problem during the shoot, so i think mine have a factory defect.
have you resolved your problem since then?

I'm having the same problem with my RX - the fan isn't working. I've tried restarting the device and installing new firmware, but the issue persists. I suspect there's a manufacturing defect with the fan since it won't work at all. Has anyone else resolved this problem?

Hey ! i send mine to DJI, and have new one from them, problem is located to the main board, need to fix that.. totally free for me.. and very quick !
