Well I survived my holiday in Newfoundland Canada. Clipped a tree on my first flight breaking the pivot arm. Did a diy fix with the help of Amazon only waiting four days to get a part. Dealt with high winds most of the time but managed to get some scenes through it all. Saw lots of wildlife, Moose & Caribou but didn't use the drone to film them. Went to leave and the ferry to Nova Scotia went out with a mechanical issue, so I had to spend an additional 5 nights before we could leave for home. Here is a short video from some of our adventure. Amazing scenery and wildlife views.    I got a kick out of hearing that the ferry had a mechanical issue.  Happened to me on a visit a 4 years back.  If memory serves me right I think the name of the ferry was MV highlanders.

Downtown don't tell my wife she is like I'm never taking the ferry again. She is from Burgeo, which is the fishing port you see from the board walk up Manitee hill in the video. We were lucky at least we had a place to stay so I kind of liked the extended holiday. Cheers thanks for watching  
PS: The Highlander is still running but they have a new one The Purtees which is like a floating Mall.

Yes, most fortunate to have a place to stay while awaiting repairs to the ferry.  Good to hear the Highlander is still around.

Thanks elijahjames, being so new to flying prevented me from doing a lot of fancy drone work. But it is an incredible landscape. I go almost every year and next trip expect to be better prepared   Cheers

Clipping a tree and dealing with high winds must have been challenging, but it’s great you managed to get some scenes. Fixing the drone yourself and waiting for parts shows real resourcefulness. Seeing moose and caribou must have been incredible, even if you didn’t get them on film.  Very beautiful view thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for watching korystol.tenber glad you enjoyed it. My wife grew up in Burgeo which is the town at the top of the stair case scene. It was known as an outport back then and the only way in or out was by boat. The surrounding area has lots of moose and caribou and it never gets dull seeing them.
