So alas, I get 2-3 months of good use. relatively happy and recommending the DJI mini Pro 4 to others.

Then get onto a remote boat trip for a week. And get this: "Account not logged in". Restricted to 50m flight radius.

Can only 'log in' after back to civilisation, AFTER holiday complete.

I can't imaging what this feature is for. Anti-theft?

Not happy. Want a refund.

The one time I've experienced that is because I hadn't used the Mini 4 for over a month due to the abysmal weather we're having. Did some Googling and it's because the controller logs you out if not used for more than 30 days. However, if you've been using it over the last 2-3 months, raise it with DJI.

the DJI Fly app account may automatically log out under the following circumstances:

In DJI Fly 1.12.4 and later versions, an account remains in the login state for 90 days after the login even if the app is disconnected from the network, and a reminder will be pushed before the login expires.
Note: Within 7 days of expiration, the APP will remind once a day if the conditions are met; Condition: During the 90-day period, the APP is not connected to the Internet

Note:Your login will expire in %@ days. Login again required after expiration. Flight altitude and distance limits may apply if not logged in. Connect to network and update account info in time to keep using app.

2. If the device is connected to an abnormal network, such as an open Wi-Fi, it needs to redirect to the login page, an expiration of the login will be triggered, and it is required to reconnect to a normal network to log in again.

3. When one device logs out of the account, the other devices logged in with the same account will automatically log out by default if multiple devices are logged in simultaneously. This is a common scenario; for instance, if a user's phone and a remote controller with a built-in screen are both logged in, and the phone logs out, the remote controller will automatically log out when it is connected to the internet.

The 30 day auto logout was increased to 90 days with the release of 1.12.4 of the fly app.

Hi there,

Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. To ensure flight safety, the FlySafe Database will be updated from time to time, which requires users to connect to the Internet. Thus, a prompt for account login is displayed to remind users to connect to the network. As we cannot confirm users' Internet connectivity and whether they have updated to the latest database, we have implemented the approach of logging out of their accounts and prompting them to manually log in to receive notifications about database updates.

How ever this will not happen frequently, as mentioned by DAFlys comment #3 it only occurs under the following circumstances. Hence, we highly suggest customers to update firmware and fly app of the devices before start travelling to remote location.

I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!

Can't you use your phone as hotspot for the controller and then log in? (assuming you have phone connection),

The user stated he was on a boat trip - typically far away from the coast and therefore, no connectivity. I know from my boat trips that sometimes it is even enough to get 1km off the coast to be free from any connectivity (can be pure pleasure)

I take it this is not the venue to request a refund? Sounds like he would be better off though.

I suppose one could always log out and log back in immediately prior to leaving harbour and that should supposedly give one 3 months of logged in flights.

So basically we do not own our Drones?

So basically we do not own our Drones?

You do, but according to DJI, you do not own the right to use the drone after 90 days, if you are in an area with no network coverage...

So, the answer is... yes...

It is all written in the DJI terms and conditions...

You own the drone, but DJI has the key...

I’m also stuck with the “account not logged in”. I go to the RC2 and try to log in and get to the “check network” prompt. Nothing. How can I get step-by-step directions. Very confused and frustrated. Please help me DJI. M4P

you will really know who are the people that reads on safe flying and manuals and who are not. and when they have done an error, they blame it to the other guy.

and also, we own the drone. we just own the skies. because if we have no rules to follow and no regulation. everything will be a mess in the near future. that is why, there's a safety net for everything.

I’m also stuck with log in issues and restrictions on how far I can fly. Super annoying.  When I try  to log in it keeps saying check “check network” and it won’t let me log in.

Not happy. Crippling. One vote to completely do away with that ridiculous process.
