IMHO into the light, is not this cameras best viewpoint.
Are you more interested in the Video capabilities or Still shots?

Not sure yet, bit of both but leaning towards photos for now due to the vantage point you couldn't get normally

Plus post processing is much easier on photos and my video skills aren't up to par

Very nice shots. I really like the first one especially.
