Altitude is your friend and I always add a little altitude on most flights.

The conditions were favorable for VLOS for me,  I was strategically located and moved as it flew its route.  It was early morning the white Phantom stood out in the full sun just an hour after sunrise.   Granted that it was almost a mere speck at its farthest point, I could see that it was maintaining altitude and moving at a steady pace. Flying at hundred feet elevation helped.

I just saw on the LITCHI forum that the next update will help correct the issue and I quote, "For the rotation setting, this is something we will improve in the next update, you will have the choice to set a default rotation with a "shortest" option which most people probably will want to use. Litchi currently tries to guess what you intend to do but only when there is a POI, and only for the affected waypoints. It doesn't work well in all cases."I am looking forward to the update.  Jim

they say no, at least for the near future.  Sorry.   But if they do make an IOS version,  probably will cost $1100 in keeping with the Apple related product prices....LOL

Seems odd to me that a dev would not convert degrees to euler rotation to avoid obtuse short-rotations. I guess the flight controller has no idea which direction the drone rotated to the new heading, so it picks the shortest yaw angle. Makes sense I guess if the waypoints are just storing a 3D point in space plus a compass heading.
