I have a path saved in waypoints which is 20+ points. All of them are 100 to 200 feet in altitude. The site is a construction site with nothing appraoching 100 feet at all. Yet, often when I try to fly the path, the drone will stop and claim "obstruction". Sometimes I just try again and get past the "obstacle" and other times, I adjust the altitude by a few feet and that solves the problem. It seems rather consistent that something will trigger the "obstacle" alert needlessly. Can this "bug report" be sent up the line. I know it is vague but perhaps someone can find what is going on.
There are options for what to do at the end of the flight or if communications with the controller is lost. There needs to be options on what to do with obstructions. This drone has the ability to fly around obstructions in some flight modes. This needs to be leveraged when on a path set by waypoints. A "continue" option needs to also be provided so if the flight is interrupted by an obstruction, the pilot can move the drone and then continue to the waypoint that the drone was traveling towards before the interruption.
On a slightly different topic, I would very much like to see a better way to edit the waypoints and set up paths. Trying to do it on the tiny screen with touch is very hard and frustrating. I realize that this is not the Inspire 3 and not intended for precise navigation but the drone can navigate far better than the current user interface allows me to describe. I need to be able to just type in numbers if I choose rather than everything being a slider (such as for altitude). I need to be able to rearrange the order of the waypoints. I need to be able to duplicate a sequence of waypoints. Basically... I need a real editor of the path instead of what is currently provided. |
