This is not of course a camera drone and not at all intended as such. But in my view as a person who has many many DJI drones I recon this is their most affordable and fun drone they have ever released. Very Very pleased with mine and I have only just scratched the surface of what it can do. Lots of Neo videos here on my You Tube Channel here

Can it make automatic 360 (sphere) panoramas? That's crucial for me since I like to do sphere panoramas to watch on my Quest 3.

This is not that sort of drone. It is a fun to fly toy thing for flying in-between things etc, It is not a 'Camera Drone'

I disagree. It has a 4k camera, so it's definitely a camera drone. And it supports intelligent flight modes, as well as a movable camera, so  there is nothing that would prevent it from making 360 panos - that's only a software thing.

I remember that Spark didn't have a 360 pano mode as it was released but that it was added with a later firmware. By the way, Spark had 1080p only, so also "not a camera drone"?

Just the one due to the weather.  Followed me faithfully, once I'd got it to take off.
From the car roof - my hand was too shaky.

Ok if you say so. But you need a mini 2,3,3 Pro or 4 Pro for what you are talking about. But you believe what you want

Nope - I went all-in.
Just got a brief weather window yesterday to prove that the follow-feature works.
But wind and rain are likely to keep me grounded for the next couple of days

It is official then..

DJI NEO is the most intrusive drone on noise level by far...

There should be an award for this kind of records...

I'm still enjoy and using the Mini 3 Pro..

Old generation style down here... When the drone break or it is lost, then we will cross that bridge...

I still have the Mavic 3 collecting dust and two remote controllers that are just taking space...

I'm also still involved in Scale Helicopter, where the adrenaline always keeps you alive...

I love those things...

I don't own anything that big or that runs on turbines...

The biggest one I got is the Chinook (electric conversion) (about 1metre in length)

The Red Bull in the video has a 2.5 metre diameter blades and probably a 2+ metre body length

You only fly those model in Aero Clubs or on private proprieties and it takes about an hour to get them ready to fly...

Have you ever tried to fly Helis? If you like drones, you will love Helis.. And you can always put a camera on a gimbal in the front, if you really want to...

Just a wish suggestion to Dji, can you develop a Windows Configuration Software for the Neo, for those entry level no high end fancy phones needed that we can connect via USB thru PC and Neo to program settings? Similar to Fly App but not for flying, just for setup. The neo can fly by itself anyways.  No need to upgrade phone just to be able to install the Dji Fly App.
Thanks

I'm not sure why you are saying this... The majority of people, all seems to agree...

Quote:

"funny that when you said its not too loud you can hardly be heard saying that because of the noise from it
for the people that want to buy it, this is 2nd loudest dji drone, 1st being avata 1, theres a yt video on that"

https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... =317772&pid=3407074

and your reply was:

"I still maintain that it is quieter than I thought in real life."

Then we have:

"I have to disagree just a bit with you as the Neo to my ears is quite loud.  Much, much louder than my Mini 3 Pro and Air 3."

https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... =317772&pid=3407395

and your reply was:

"I agree that the sound is quite loud on the videos and Yes it is much louder than the Mini 3 or 4 but in real life it honestly is not that bad."

Perhaps it is the pitch of the sound, but the majority of people so far, think that the NEO is LOUD!

I think I will stick with the majority for this one...

Have you actually observed one in real life. If you haven't you would not know would you. Perhaps listen to those that actually have one. Its called fact checking something that is actually very important these days. I say again it is not that loud in real life

I was just seeng a thing about the Neo when using it without a controller its not legal ion the UK as you cant instantly instruct it to land if an aircraft came along.

I think you are missing the point...

If you are hearing impaired, it doesn't really matter if you own the drone or not...

The majority of people that has bought one, reckon it is noisy compare to the other drones...

Are you saying that you are right and everybody else are wrong?

Noise is a subjective thing, and if you are having hearing problems, that does change your perception of noise level...

As long as you enjoy the new drone and the noise it makes doesn't bother you, who cares what the other people do think?!?

Perhaps the point is that you stop insulting people based on zero knowledge and answer a very simple question.

So Again have you experienced one in real life.

By the way know this many have tried all have failed

If an aircraft came along at head height there would be a sh1tload more to worry about than 135 gm of plastic
