I find it interesting that DJI creates blogs and requests support from users with this situation, but does not respond or deal with requests about SDK implementation on various devices (Mini 2 SE)
They just want to know about their own problems. I had already warned about the implementation of several restrictions that are being created in several countries... Now that DJI is starting to lose market share, they are worried about users

Or how about the critical loss of signal issue with the Goggles 3 when used with the O3 Air Unit?
https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=318331&extra=page%3D1

DJI wants our help defending use of their products, while totally ignoring critical safety issues that they've been aware of a while now.

Why should we care about their future when they show so little interest in ours?

GIT GUD DJI!

Sorry DJI, but do you think the members of the US Congress really care about the individual concerns of recreational drone users?  First, doubt if many people that do vote(less than 50% of eligible GenZ and Millennials)  would choose their Rep or Senator  based on this one issue.  Just not a significant enough issue to generate votes during this or future election cycles.  Also, a relatively insignificant percentage of the total population.   Second, there seems to be bipartisan support for the various anti-China drones.

My suggestion. You need to focus your lobbying effort on the commercial and emergency service sectors.  Maybe concentrate on the direct and indirect economic effects on the commercial (agriculture, natural resource management, industrial....). The  testimonials of frontline emergency and law enforecemnt service personnel.  For the rest of us. The recreational user. Focus on addressing user issues. Continue to improve and develop your products.  Hope for the best outcomes for all users.

If DJI do:
- make NFZ dependant of pilot only, without authorisation on DJI side
- make RID able to enable or disable by pilot
- make Neo compatible with RC-N1(C), DJI Goggles 2, DJI Integra, FPV Controller 2, etc
- make Drone ID enable/disable by pilot
- make Avata 1 as C1 class.
- make Avata 1/2 pilotable also by RC-N1(C), RC-N2, RC-N3
- fix O3 and Goggles 3 issue.

then we will talk.

Basically, if DJI want a voice o people, then need at least to provide a freedom of choice by how devices work and make them compatible each other, without enforcing to buy new goggles or controller annualy.

I think the main reason you might try to help is that you, the american public, will have no ability to buy or register a new DJI drone if this pointless ban goes ahead.  There is no talk of banning I-Phones despite phones having an insane amount of personal data on them, yet for some reason, drones are the one consumer item that will ruin America if they're not banned....  I guess Skydio don't make phones, so they're not pushing that area......

It can be said louder but not clearer, I am closer to selling my two Avata 2 and the O3 Air Unit of my 9 drones than to helping this riffraff...

I believe the more competition the better since it forces the companies who have a large share of the market to improve and innovate, However, banning companies just because they have a large share of the market is not the best way to improve the market.

There's some import problems with the Air 3S right now so the drone won't be available in retail stores. If I understand this situation correctly.. if the ban goes through I think we would be able to use our old drones but newer drones would not be eligible for FCC authorization

I don't think it's a right to fly. It's not a right to fly a hd camera and send the pics to a enemy country. Yea,not a right. That's silly. If DJI didn't have such horrible customer service, they wouldn't have been banned. And all the crybaby's sniveling about the DJI ban,ask yourself this, why was it only DJI. Sniff sniff.

As expected. Awoke to a new President-elect.  Just was unsure who it would be. Looks like the Republican part will regain control of the Senate. At this moment. House control is unknown. Any guesses on the future state of made in China UASs?  American recreational drone users have about as much political influence as bowling leagues do. Time will tell.   DJI may become  like Huawei smartphones?  Technically illegal to purchase in the USA, but still available at Amazon USA, eBay USA.  Guessing, hoping more or less nothing will happen. But then DJI would be relatively "low hanging fruit" to make a "point".

Like its been said, cell phones are the threat they should be focusing on. Much better cameras and microphones on the latest iphones which are also made in China, and actually IN the secure locations they claim to be concerned about. If security was actually such a concern the FAA could just create a new class of restricted airspace specific to UAV's over and around sensitive installations. They already have those in place for GA, shouldn't be that hard to expand on it.

DJI would have been banned regardless of their practice's, Skydio lobbied Republican Stefanik for "favors" to come down hard on ALL Chinese made drones. Due to Republican paranoia it will come to pass it appears. With all the drone paranoia in the USA lately all the "Ken's and Karen's" are out in full force now. It amazes me that  the countries {USA} government can't track what is really going on with all the drone sightings lately- [YEA-Right}- so much for transparency,  just like they could not find out who the drugs belonged to in  the most camera infested building in the USA {White House}.
Every new generation in the USA does not realize the freedoms they have lost, trust me, all of you young people in the USA have no clue to the amount of freedom you have lost. I was in the Airforce in the 70's in the Netherlands, back then no matter your party affiliation it was one big family, you came together  for the good of all. That is gone now. The prophetic saying of a wise and  famous Russian will come to pass- "we need to do nothing-America will collapse from within itself"" , ,not quoted but the gist sums it up.
I apologize to the forum for the long winded non drone post but I'm tired of the BS from both sides and  having more time invested in "feet on the ground" in my country I felt a need to post.
Thank you

Paranoid Republicans? Hahah.  Your drone turning on,by itself, sending pics and sensitive information back to the motherboard China, hardly equates to Paranoid Republicans.  And the sad part is,sniff sniff, there are several you tube DJI deepthroaterd, that have admitted it already. They were decent men who wrapped their whole lives around DJI. Sad but definitely true.    They were doing it.   Whether you want to believe it or not. It's widely known. I like drone photography. But when it comes to things against America. Bye bye DJI as if their customer service wasn't a dead giveaway.
