Hello DJI community.

I am looking to purchase a DJI 350RTK for mapping for geological purposes. Now, I want to premake flight routes over areas as large as 400 square km. I know this wont be possible quickly and will need to be broken into smaller sections for accuracy etc and my research has led me to the Zenmuse P1 for detail. My following questions are:

1) Am I right in assuming this is the perfect set up for this?
2) What drone and camera settings will give me the best ground detail ?
3) How many 'square km' can an RTK350 per dual battery safely at say 3m per second (assuming this is alright for accuracy, really focused on ground detail).
4) If i set altitude at say 30 / 50 metres in hilly areas, im assuming the drone will use tree tops / hills as the base and remain 30/50 metres on top.5) Are there any magnetic cameras / features that can be equipped, if so, what are they?

Thank you!

As someone who operates a business covering a couple thousands of acres per week (approx 8 sq. km.) with a 350RTK, 400 square km is huge. I would think areas that size, you would be better off with an airplane lidar setup. 2 batteries wont go far in comparison. I don't see your mission being practical with drone.

Agreed, to cover that much area you want at least a fixed-wing UAS, but more appropriately a crewed aircraft. UAS just doesn't scale up efficiently past a certain point. And your questions belie a lack of basic understanding of remote sensing concepts so you're better off educating yourself or finding a collaborator with some experience before embarking on what will be an expensive endeavor.
