Hi peoples. Went to do some training today with students on our M600 Pro and opened DJI Go on my old iPhone 6 and Go would not open, it fires up the first screen of the app booting and a few seconds later crashes out.

I noticed it had just done an update to the app (now version 3.1.80), to help with stability....  Now it won't even open.

I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, no change at all. IPhone is running latest version of iOs 12 (12.5.7) and latest version of the app (both apps). Prior to the app update this morning, it has been running fine the last few days. Not happy when you go to do student tests and can't even get the app to run!

Any clues? Can I backdate the update since it doesn't work?

I also noticed the Fly app is doing the same thing, crashes on opening screen. Go4 is working fine (I use all 3 for different drones).  Drones is all this phone is used for.

Mine wasn't that complicated! Was flying fine yesterday, this morning while setting it up the app automatically updated and now it won't run. Pretty annoyed since I use this for training and have another batch of students tomorrow.

(1) Please clear the mobile phone cache and ensure that the mobile phone has enough storage available (10G or more is recommended). Hard restart the mobile phone.
(2) Check the App version, if the app is not the latest version, then it is recommended to update the app to the latest version. And please clear cache from the app itself for testing  
(3) Download from the official website { https://www.dji.com/global/downl ... site&from=foote }
(4) Cross test with another compatible mobile device to check whether it is caused by the compatible issue.

If the issue still persists, kindly share us the following details for further check:
(1) App version number and aircraft model.
(2) The mobile device model and system version
(3) The crash log

1. Connect the iOS device to PC with USB cable .
2. Run the iTunes and click the “iPhone” icon and “Sycn” button
3. You can skip the back-up step; and when the "synchronization" finished, check this path to find the crash log file:
“C:\Users\[Your_User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\AppleComputer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\[Your_Device_Name]\”

Noted: please ensure the hidden item is allowed.

Once it's exported, kindly DM us the file so we can share it to our engineering team for further check. Thank you for your patience and support!

Hey Natalia, thank you for the detailed instructions.  

Despite being a long time IT person, I am not an apple person at all.  That said, I have downloaded and installed iTiunes, connected my iPhone, used the Sync button, watched the Sync 3 steps progress (only a few seconds), but there is no AppleComputer folder on my Windows 11 computer (yes, I have enabled Hidden files/folders).

I did find a CrashReporter folder, located deep down in a Local Cache folder, however it only contained .ips files and no crash logs.

Sorry, but for some reason the logs are just not visible!

EDIT:  Did some more digging and manged to find them on the phone, have copied and will send them in via DM
EDIT2: Cant send the file via DM and text is too long to send in a DM... so here is the contents:

I double click the icon, the splash screen opens, the splash screen closes.  Thats about it.  Same as appears to have now inflicted all other users 2 weeks or so afgo when the iOS18 rolled out

Nope, almost 2 months now and no updates or fixes. We use both Fly and Go for work for training so not very impressed at all (M600 Pro and Mini 3)

Keeping you updated:  
Another week gone by and still nothing (almost 2 months now).  Still can't use Fly or Go apps on iOS 12. Time to look at different brands for training our students?


DJI seems to have lost the plot over this.  Seeing many people now with the same or similar issue and no word back from DJI for 2 months?  

I would switch to my other phone, but Android sucks the power from the control so fast its ridiculous, especially when out training for a full day.

same crash after updated to DJI GO 3.1.80 on my ipad os 12.5.7, why not just fallback to 3.1.68 so to let us be able to use it?

I'm also experiencing this issue on a freshly formatted iOS device running iOS 12.5.7 and DJI GO version 3.1.80. My .ips log shows the same crash data as the one JustAskDave shared.

Unfortunately I have received total silence from DJI now.  They were working with me with logs and testing different versions etc, then said they would get back to me and I haven't heard anything in over 2 months, now nearly 6 months since my initial reports.  

I have sent support messages but no reply.  I think we are stuffed now.  To the point I have given up on them and just bought the wife a new iPhone 16 Pro Max for Christmas and I will be using her old iPhone Pro Max 11 shortly and basically throw away the iPhone 6.  I will probably have to replace my iPad Air2 as well as it also only runs ios12.

Pretty peeved with DJI to be honest. They could have been upfront and said from xx date onwards we won't support XYZ version.

That's discouraging, especially when the newer Go 4 app works on the same device. The iPad was purchased with and used solely for controlling my Phantom drone which, while older, still worked fine until I could no longer launch the Fly app. It's not worth it for me to source a newer tablet (and mount) for the drone especially when the long-term support for the product is in question so I suppose it'll get sold. Given that my device is still listed as supported in DJI's literature, the lack of response is pretty unacceptable.
