Can't download videos from DJI Fly app

I got my Neo yesterday, updated to the latest firmware. I'm using the DJI Fly app (also latest iOS version) and while I can connect the Neo directly to my computer to download the videos, I'd like to also use the app. The problem is that it's not working. It just stays at 0% forever. Any ideas? I've tried restarting the phone, the drone, and the same result occurs.
Update: I suspect this is because I'm using iOS 18.1, however I am running the equivalent iPadOS 18.1 on my iPad Pro and it works fine.

Same with me, exact same problem. Even in Quick Transfer mode. One file, many files, doesn’t matter. 0% and 0B/s. Only way I can get my files is via USB on my PC then transferring them back to my iPhone via OneDrive. I didn’t buy this drone so I would have to wait until I was at a computer to post photos or videos. iOS 18.0.1 latest Neo firmware.

Hey, could it be caused by dji app permissions? Maybe it don't have access to files, so it can't save them on the phone?

I found A fix for this, at least on my system, running iOS 18.0.1 - Turning off Cellular data on the phone gets this working again.  I suspect that  the DJI app has a a bug in that isn’t properly keeping track of multiple possible network connections on the phone.

Turning off the cellular signal worked like a charm! Hopefully DJI patches this issue, glad I was able to find that trick on here

Worked for me too! Utterly ridiculous that this happens, having to turn off cellular data to download videos?

@Admin I would not call this resolved as this is not correct behaviour for an app, I should be able to stil use cell data while downloading photos, why have the background download option in the new app update? Is the DJI Fly app going to be updated to address this? it's a workaround at best

I too got my Neo yesterday and I am not able to download the videos using the Fly app.  I am able to do a preview, but the thumbnails are not there and when I attempt to download the videos, it is stuck at 0% and never progresses.  My system:

- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iOS 18.0.1
- Latest DJI Fly as of Oct 17, 2024.  I went to App store and confirmed no update is available. Shows 1.15.0 in Basic Info in the app itself.
- Neo Firmware 01.00.0300
- I also have a Mini 2, but was not connected at all to that drone while trying to download videos.

Things I tried:
- Turned off cellular data as was suggested in this thread. Did not fix the issue.
- Turned off Private Relay on a whim.  Did not fix the issue.
- Killed Fly App with no resolution.
- Rebooted both phone and the Neo with no resolution of the problem.

If I connect a USB cable directly to the drone, then I am able to download the files as it is treated as an external drive. Of course, this is not done from within the Fly app.

Are there any other recommendations to solve this issue?

Confirmed--thank you! Turning off cellular works! Hopefully they can fix this, as we shouldn't have to disable cellular to make this work

I just got a DJI Neo and came across this thread because I’m having the exact same issue.  Turning off cellular gets it to work but still seems a bit spotty where I’ll sometimes get a failed to download message and have to restart the app.  I’m using an iPhone 11 with the current (18.0.1) firmware.

Being new to DJI products are they very attentive to fixing bugs?   The reason I ask is because when searching the problem I also came across another thread here from 2022 with people having the exact same issue with other drones so it seems to be a very long standing problem. Is this something expected to be fixed?
