Do not know, but its not a concern if you want to fly with controller. If you want to have reasonable flight time (up to 14 min per battery in normal/sport what i measured) then only option is a combo with controller, additional two batteries and charger, and if you sum value of the batteries and charger, then it looks a controler is for almost free.

No, it's compatible with RC-N2, RC-N3, RC 2, and when using Goggles 3, RC Motion 3 or FPV RC 3.

The DJI Neo can be operated using the DJI RC-N3, DJI RC-N2, or DJI RC 2 controllers. Nope NEO is not compatible with the RC1 controller which I think it should be cos I do not want to invest in another controller. It is compatible  with the RC2 controller.

Hello Diana can you also ask the team to make it compatible with the RCN1,  I was led to believe from a youtube video that this was the case ?? I have the mini 2 and RCN1 but would also like to control a neo that I am purchasing from the same controller I sincerely hope this can be accommodated .

Many people would buy the NEO drone, especially those who already own an older DJI drone, if it were backward compatible (perhaps even more of the non-FMC version would sell). Hello, Long time DJI supporter here with a Mini2, Mini3 pro, and an Avata1 with a FPV rc. I bought the mini 3 because of the backwards compatibility with the avata and I'm certain you would get many more sales, (especially for the holidays), for other drones if you did this more often. it would be really nice if I could still use this equipment with a neo.  Please reconsider, thanks

I recently bought a DJI neo, asked to make sure my control was compatible. I was told that it was compatible. Unfortunately, i found out today that it's not. Can an update be provided that allows the neo to be compatible with the RC-N1 Controller? I already have a mavic air 2. It's not in my budget to buy another controller.

DJI should add the compatibility of RC N1 with Neo according to sustainable policy. It would be a huge disappointment if such a company did such a cheap trick that users would have to buy almost the same controller unnecessarily when they already have one in great condition. After all, previous users have already written that it is only a matter of the controller's firmware and there is no technical obstacle.

Yes definitely not right to not let RC N1 owners use the controller that they own after spending so much for the Mini 2. They could fix with simple software update.

There is no different.
Same technology, but dji does want to you to use rc-n1.

To jest bardzo dziwne. Mam kontroler od sporo droższego drona a neo kupiłem sobie jako zabawkę.  Kontroler n1 działa z wieloma dronami ale aktualizacja do neo jest juz dla dji problemem

I have  a Air 2 with the RC-N1 controller too and was very disappointed when I found it didn't work with the Neo, it would be great if Dji could provide an update for the RC-N1

Beware, I am attempting to warn anyone who is dumb enough to purchase a DGI mini 4K drone. It is only compatible with an RC and one controller and that controller can only be used with that drone. It is a scam. Do not buy this drone. I am warning as many people on Facebook TikTok And Twitter lol please beware.

You need to look for drones with the same OcuSync technology, that way you know one controller will work with all the drones.
