Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to avoid the 540° rotation limit using SDK.
Is it rather a hardware thing though?  I have linked a video below where this team had infinite rotation (it is in one direction if you slow it down), and I heard they use arduino too if that is even possible.

I'd just like to know if anyone has done it before because I haven't seen it discussed or if anyone knows how to do this.

There are a couple of ways you could do it. For example:

1 - Use chassis.drive_wheels() to control the wheels directly.
2 - Using chassis.drive_speed().

Would that prevent the head gimbal from locking and moving with the chassis? I just want to prevent that and make it seem like it's on a bearing. I mean effectively ignoring the turning range of the gimbal

Ah, you want to do that while keeping the gimbal pointed in the same direction? That is not possible hardware-wise on a stock EP. There is an actual physical limit to it which whoever did that in the video that you pointed might have removed.

So do you mean that it is possible to remove it? Just altering the insides? Do you have any idea how?

It must be because someone clearly did it. I have no idea what that would entail.

Even with the robot off, you can manually move the gimbal around and you will see at some point it just bumps into something and you can not move it further. I would check what is causing that and consider how it could be removed and what would be the possible side-effects. Be careful as you might actually break the robot.

Alright thanks man, maybe I'll check it out
