Have to say, this massively surpassed my expectations up in the mountains of the Lake District.  I was determined to stay objective and not gush like a DJI fan boy; I did my best, but there was a fair bit to be impressed with.....

Very nice review Ian. Looks good but not sure if it is worth it to upgrade from Air 3. Lidar looks good though.

Looks like the Air 3 and 3S battery is the same. Can you confirm.

They both work with each other except when downloading footage you will need new battery installed in the air3s. The new battery has slightly more mah.

If I decide to buy, we have stock locally already so I might just get 1 today. Will have to offload the Air 3 so wife does not notice

Looks a worthy upgrade to the Air 3 just on camera lens alone. The apparent issue with the Air 3 lens really put me off buying one.

Have one on the way. Wife already told me I can't have it till Christmas day. Worth the extra wait though from what I've seen.

AIR 3S is looking like the perfect all-rounder.

It does look good,   we just need the UK to sort out the rules to make this more useful;

So you have one on the way but can't open it till Christmas? That's odd. I'd be careful especially if there's an issue with the drone and with Care Refresh I think it needs to be activated within  a number of days. Also depending on where you buy it you may have a limited time to return too.

That's not the half of it. I'm also expected to paint the front room first!
Swear the next drone i get will have a seat on it so i can sneak off from the back garden to the local.

Married life mate - Is what it is.
But yeah to be honest I hadn't thought about that. I'm sure though it would amount to the same as if i was buying new in say January for instance. I don't think it matters that much untill I open the box and connect both the drone and RC to the WiFi at which point I'll be prompted to register. At least I think that is the case?

Mine is ordered and should be on its way in the Amazon Van for delivery Tomorrow. I hope to do one of the first Unsponsored review......................... That cost me

I caved in and picked one up. The one-inch sensor and Lidar were the main factors.

You can activate anytime, but if you start the drone it needs to be activated within 48 hours.

Great review Ian and what amazing location to test the new Air 3S.

All Police are drone police,  any one of them can stop and question and check you drone weight etc,   Youtube is full of people recording it happening.
