Dear DJI,
i'd like to have RTH while i control the DJI Neo with mobile phone.
Three times i lost the control of the drone and was very difficult to reconnect
If there is RTH it could be a nice to have for me.... RTH with button and if connection is lost...
I already know that RTH is available if DJI Neo is controlled by DJI RC-Nx
Thanks and best regards
AC

Its max distance is 50m with a phone, its only meant to be used to fly within line of sight, if you want to go further then use a controller.

The RTH can solve a problem like this:

If I fly over sea at 10 meters to make video to my boat and i loose the connection the drone stay over the sea and land into the sea when the battery is low...
Only by chance did he land on another boat and not in the sea...
I don't know why the connection didn't work, but after recharge the connection is normal again.

For me RTH can be very usefull (better if i can choose on or off before take off).
For me can be also usefull have a button to RTH if i see problems (for newbie like me)....

Would you give DJI's perspective on why this was not implemented, is it legislation or simply DJI thought it was unnecessary ? or a hardware limitation.

In the UK you have to fly LOS anyway, so that argument has no weight.
RTH should be implemented for use on the phone controller also.  You can lose a drone at any distance.

I don't know why it has not been, and I have not yet had answers to my questions aimed at DJI.

Hi,
It happen's to me also when flying over the sea with a Jetski in Dubai.
I launch a Dronie (4m) and instead of going back he continue to elevate about 30 m and stay stuck there during about 10mn.
I needed to wait until low battery has forced it to descend and I was able to grab it with my Jetski.
Any explanation.

I would also like this to be implemented.  There are lots of scenarios that this could save the Neo from loss.

Everyone says the same thing. But why don't people consider emergency situations? For example, let's say it is within your line of sight and in Wi-Fi range. If a sudden and unexpected gust of wind blows it a hundred meters away, you won't be able to retrieve it unless you go toward it. So, if it's in difficult terrain, you may not be able to get close to it.
