Hi,

I have the Mini 3 Pro with the DJI RC (1). Is there a way to plan/create a flight that can be repeated exactly (automated), whilst shooting video.

AFAICT:

• Waypoints can only be used when shooting hyperlapse.
• Dronelink is not installable on the DJI RC
• Waypointmap is not available on the Mini 3 Pro
• None of the flight data from Profile can be used to create a repeatable track.
  

Am I wrong on any of these points? Is there really no way to accomplish what I need to without buying a new drone or a new controller...or both?

As an aside, has anybody tried rooting the DJI RC to open it up for installation of other apps like Dronelink?

Theres no SDK available for the DJI RC so even if you could install an app the app wouldnt run properly for control.   Best bet is to buy a cheap controller and use the phone.

Thank you for your patience. You can use waypoint and record video at the same time. Once you have finish recording the waypoint and executes it, you can set it to record video instead of just hyperlapse. I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. Thanks DJI Gamora, But as far as I can tell there is no process to shoot video with waypoint on the Mini 3 Pro whilst using the DJI RC(1). Waypoints menu is only available in the hyperlapse shooting mode. I know the waypoint track can be saved and re-used ...but again ONLY with hyperlapse shooting. I'm happy if you know differently but please post (or post a link to) the step by step process.
