Hey everybody,

I just got myself an Inspire 1 a few days ago and was wondering if there is a real big difference in camera.

I know it might be a dumb question as I really dont know much about cameras but wanted to know if the extra $2000 is worth it?

Hard to say.  The X5 absolutely creates a nicer image, there is no contesting that fact.   The thing that has many users worried is that is uses the same compression as the X3, which has definitely holds the image back in some areas, especially in high detail.

DJI have said that the improved image quality going in means the compression does a better job than it does on the X3 but unfortunately there isn't enough real world footage out there to see if this is true

The X5R will definitely make some amazing images as it shoots in RAW to SSD, but that will be substantially more expensive.  

So there is no single answer to your question,  jury is still out.
