Just released and going at a great price. I heard it last week from Tamara who mistakenly posted her review early and then took it off. It sounded really good and the noise cancellation seemed better than the DJI Wireless Mic 2.

I had £20 credit and so managed to buy a transmitter for £29 so one on the way!

Doesn't look as though the Boost Lens is available though.

Yes, it looks like a really good buy. I was very impressed by its sound last week when I heard it on Tamara’s video. Especially noise cancellation. It's so small as well so quite surprising that the battery runs for longer than it's bigger brother.
Great for vlogging. Although it won't take a Lavalier or make back up recordings, but great sound in camera.

I would have preferred not to have had the DJI logo on the front too tbh.

that is the thing I love the actual viewable window  and 3.5mm   port do I personally need another mic kit, Maybe just the stand alone,   and if the stand alone can Pair to the  Bigg brother I will then get one, if not  oil well.

It was sad DJI knew nothing, just simply  sad on their part

No mention anywhere. Quite strange, but it appeared this morning on their site. I’ve been waiting after hearing it last week.

Also funny that the Boost lens is there but not available to buy. No reviews on YouTube yet either. This fella is great on reviews ........

Yes! I’m puzzled as to why they’re so quiet! They’re bringing out some really useful kit and £49 for a transmitter that goes for 11 hours is really excellent. Never mind showing trumpets on the Action 5, they should be blowing their own trumpet now!!

Maybe a few more tweaks to the Action 5 and a brass band will start up?

The audio quality is good enough on Mic Mini but the noise cancellation is worse that Mic 2 have. Just watched the release video from Gemini Connect:
from 12:56 where she do a quick comparison between them and you can clearly hear the background noise with Mini Mic.

Actually wonder if I will buy it, but how to charge the transmitter itself? It doesn't have a USB-C port that I have seen.

Charging dock. It has some kind of docking device.

Funny, because NC sounded good in Tamara’s video. It’s only 10gms. So tiny. Longer transmit time as well so good for a day’s outing.

Edit: checked another shop and it show images what included.

Since it's so small I think it will be perfect to have in the helmet

Ooooooh….. that sounds painful!

I think the NC works better/worse depending on the type of noise that it’s blanking. All NC mics seem quite variable.

Fitting it under your shirt so that it's inside will pretty much hide it if it sounds ok.

I'm curious... Is it possible to record stereo sound with separated channels by setting each unit left and right like Mic2?

That’s a good question …… I’m not sure, but tbh, it’s the exact same way of connection to the Action 5, so I’m guessing two would connect.

The Action 5 has a double receiver in it. Not the 4 though.

Edit: just checked .... yes. Two mics work at the same time in stereo (separated) or mono. (Joined together in the centre)

I'm using Action5 Pro, so I'm curious if it's possible. Haha~

I also saw Tamara's hidden video last week, and I'm very interested because it's attractive except for the built-in recording.

I think it would be good to connect it to a mirrorless camera and use it, so I'm considering putting it on my bucket list.

It’s a nice option, but for mirrorless, I think I’d prefer the Wireless 2 with its onboard recording if the wireless fails or picks up electrical noise and also the ability to connect other mics. I sometimes use the wireless two with a shotgun into the transmitter.

All interesting but the Mic 2's 2nd hand prices are not good. So though I would like smaller size I will stick with larger mic 2

If possible, I record the sound in stereo when shooting, so I was very curious about that part.

Of course, I use a wired stereo microphone as the main. ^^

Sometimes, I want to capture the sound by changing the stereo point in a different location with the microphone away from the camera

But it's a bit of a hassle to sync it in the editing program. -_-;;;

If I use Mic mini, I think I'll have a little more freedom in terms of shooting conditions and such.

Thank you for your answer ;)

The transmitter unit is so small that I think I'd be more worried about losing it than about connection instability. Haha~

It certainly is tiny. I have another couple of tiny wireless mics and they also work really well. Lark M2’s. Excellent sound as well.

I must admit, these miniature wireless mics are making me really lazy as far as sound goes because there are such good options around.

Even with the old GoPro Hero 5, I used to walk around with a Rode stereo on top but now, with these tiny ones, I’m terrible. I just pin one on myself and go.

I ordered it, only the transmitter to save some money. Plan is to use it with Action 4/5 inside helmet mainly since Mic 2 is a bit too big to fit inside it.

That was my plan to fasten it with velcro on the side close to the mouth. Just hope the windmuff will not make me sneeze if it is touching my nose

Also saw in a video that the magnet is stronger than Mic 2 have, and that is already very strong.

It is a great buy indeed. I think it has a slightly ‘beefier’ sound than the Wireless mic 2 with less in the top end, but that’s not too bad a thing for outdoor recording. It can help the perceived sound have more body in the open air.

It's great to see an Action cam company produce some nice audio gear. Their wireless range is really very good so it just shows that they are taking audio seriously. Their little Lavalier isn't too shabby either.

It's a shame that it's only sold in two different types... black and white.

I think it would have been better if it had been made detachable so that it could be replaced with covers in various colors or graphic patterns.

If it was targeted at casual users, it could be used as a fashionable accessory.

I guess I'll have to put on a sticker that fits the size.

The worst thing about the Sony hotshoe adapter is that it sets the audio to ‘automatic’ with no manual control on the camera.

So quiet bits can get  turned up and loud bits down. With high quality mics, self noise isn’t so much of an issue when the input is gained up but with cheaper mics, noise can become very significant in quiet environments and soft speech.

So personally, I wouldn’t use the Sony hotshoe connection if I could avoid it. I’d rather hard wire it.
