I just bought a Phantom 3 Standard and would like to know how I could import a kml file in the DJI GO app in order to be able to see and follow a flight pattern produced in Google Earth.

I also need this option very much. My client sent me kml file with marked area which has to be orto photographed and it would be much easier if I can see area boundary in DJI GO app.

Great would that possibility.

Currently you can not import a KLM file.  It is a great idea though and I will suggest it to the software guys.

The best you can do so far is to draw lines on the map in the app and use those as a guide

Try using DroneDeploy and it's even easier for what you're wanting.

I am using Assistant 1.1.2, not using DJI GO, but if you cache maps you can watch on your device, though not in 3D...don't know if that is what you mean
