Well, SkyPan claims to hold a valid FAA 333 part exception.

With my FAA interfaces, I'd expect that their license to operate would have been suspended/revoked.

For 43 of the flights it was in class B airspace which does not have anything to do with 333.  The remaining flights it appears that even with 333 exemption they still never registered the drone to get their tail number.

The point I was making  was that If I were to fly into restricted airspace, if I held a valid pilots license, they would be suspended pending a hearing. That's the way it works.

In this case Skypan claims to hold a 333 exemption, which should have been placed on administrative hold.

According to the FAA 333 website their exemption was not granted until April 2015.  The violating flights occurred prior to that. Looking at the photos on their website, they were clearly in controlled airspace many times.

Sorry, misunderstood.. Now I understand.  And agreed, their exemption should be put on hold.

Sky Pan has been around for some time. The majority of their work was being performed using a helicopter. With the small images posted on their website, it would be hard to say proof positive what platform was used to photograph what.

Having said that, if their exemption wasn't granted until April of this year, I wonder why the application wasn't flagged in the review process?

Kudos to the FAA. There are rules for a reason.
