Why doesn't Avata 2 record in 4K 120FPS like O4?

Any future update that makes this possible? The new DJI O4 Pro is already possible. And everything shows that it is almost the same configuration and same camera.

Whoever wants to watch this video, it clearly shows that it is the same configuration as O4... both in signal, latency and general specifications.

It would be very useful if this could be possible in some future update... or I took to assemble a 3.5/5.5 whoop with O4 Pro.

That would be cool for sure.
It's impossible to tell if DJI will go that route.
I doubt it, but we can always dream

Better latency in the goggles at 100fps though.

Yeah, you have a point there.

4K above 60fps is only available in 16:9 though, you're missing out on 25% of sensor when not using the full 4:3, and both Avata 2 and O4AU Pro don't seem to be capable of handling 4K above 60fps at full sensor size so to me personally it's irrelevant.

Would be nice to see 2.7K120 at 4:3 like we had on Avata 1 though, that should definitely be doable with Avata 2's processing power (and with O4AU Pro's).

We have 2.7K 120FPS available in 4:3 in Avata 2. We do not have 120FPS in 4K.

For me, it is greatly missed in my productions... mainly because of the cameras we use, which are all 4K.

The other day I was asked for 4K 120FPS to film a car on a race track.

I'm about to buy a DJI Action with greater filming power, or actually build a custom drone with the O4 Pro.
