Up to now i have been flying using the N3 controller and i could have sworn upon auto take off and landing the drone positioned the gimbal down. Today i swirched over to the RC2 and the drone no longer does this on take off of landing, am i imagining the previous behaviour or am i missing a setting.
Thanks in advance .
Alan

The Gimbal on all three of my DJI drones are always at 0° pitch on take-off and landing for over 4 years. Pointing the gimbal down at -90° either way could damage the sensor.

Both my Air 3S and my Mini 4 pro behaves the same both when taking off and landing.  Taking off, the gimbal always points straight ahead.  When landing, the gimbal points down (showing the drone shadow) until a couple of meters abobe the ground, then it straightens to straight forward again.

Have you done a screen recording to watch especially the landing, because it will surprise me if the gimble do not point down when commencing the landing.

Well the good news for me is i’m only going half mad. The drone camera does switch to point downwards on RTH before straightening back up. I must have imagined it doing the same on take off.

Did u go through your settings in app after the update? It is imperitive that u do this because some of these updates will reset the settings in app

On several of the updates, the settings are set to default, so after a firmware update, you should always check your settings.  Regarding the stick sensitivity, this is something you very easy can change.  Go to Control, and then to Gain & Expo Tuning. I have set all my settings to 0.15, making the movements to be less sensitive at the start and the more sensitiv when you push further.
