The DJI FLIP is not "compatible" with the FPV Controller nor the goggles, which I think was a bad move for DJI. I believe that with this design of propellers it won't be able to do manual mode.

when will you sell just the drone with the controller

DJI, you snuck this one past me!! Amazing service and updates for me, and reminders to renew my refresh. They updated me about the osmo 5, the 3S, and the neo, but not this one!!
I love the neo for my students who have drone anxiety and have no coordination!
But, if i knew this was coming, I certainly would have waited. I didn't get any info on its launch this time, unfortunately. The ONLY thing I've never been sent product updates for. Sneaky, Sneaky little panda!

Hi, how fast can flip follow a subject?

DJI recently updated the DJI NEO to follow well (depending on the distance you configure from the phone.) People have been testing this out on youtube on a bike! And the Neo managed to follow on a speed of 30-40km\h. I would assume that the FLIP would be the same.

You can use the MIC MINI with the NEO as well, in this case it saves the audio file separately, which in the case of FLIP it would do the same.

I've checked out both amazon and aliexpress and it looks like DJI was aiming this at beginners who haven't bought a drone or controller before.

For now there are no option for only the drone.

Definitely buy the Flip. With the propeller guards you are protected and you get the better camera. If you have the money buy it with the RC 2 controller.

No support for my latest goggles and motion controller = no sale.
I’m assuming I’m not the only one to feel this way.

To make it easier for more users, even beginners, to operate, DJI Flip adopts a simpler control method and supports smartphone control. This design brings portability and operational convenience, making it more suitable for everyday aerial photography scenarios.

However, we understand that different users have different needs and interests. If you have higher demands for flight control and wish to experience the immersive flight experience brought by motion control, you can choose the DJI Neo and DJI Avata series products. These products are designed for immersive flight from structure to performance, paired with flight goggles and racing joysticks, providing a more immersive and free flight experience.

Few tweaks needed - camera operation in portrait mode like the Mini 3 and 4 do  (same camera) especially as its aimed at content creators . also compatibiity with the Goggles / FPV controllers as the Neo is . they also need to get over the business of crippling settings when using these drones from the phone/app ..
As a side note, I can`t understand why DJI cripple camera settings at all - the Mini 3 can`t adjust sharpness and NR at all in Stills or Video , the Mini 4 Pro can`t adjust them in Stills (just Video only) wheas the Neo (+ RC) and Mini 3 Pro can adjust them in both ... totally haphazard . C'mon DJI let all these drones have full camera adjustment , it`s silly that the Neo can adjust them but the Mini 3 can`t and the Mini 4 PRO only in Video..
