After you feel you have mastered the Neo in FPV MODE using the excellent motion controller 3  I can highly recomend moving up to the Avata 2. If you have bought say the Neo Motion Fly more combo you will have all of the kit to fly the Avata 2 so all you would need is the Avata with one battery. It is nice to have more batteries but they are quite expensive.

To set yoursel up with an excellent kit of Motion 3, Neo, Goggles N3, 3 Neo batteries and various little bits and bobs along with an Avata 2 and a suitable fast charger with one battery and a decent case to fit it all in will cost you about £1000. Not a small amout of money but quite reasonable by DJI standards. With this kit you can have great fun enjoying FPV.

If you go the other route with say the O4 unit and some other drone you will end up paying about the same amount but only have a single drone that flys for about 7 minutes max and has no stabilisation or GPS. It will fly faster but you will I garantee loose or break it in quick order. You will not do this with the DJI set up I am suggesting above.

Many on here I am sorry to say are giving bad advice. You will see them all pile in on this thread which is intended to help new FPV pilots who want to enjoy their money spent

Enjoy

Ah yes that was the package with the goggles 2. I dont think they will work with the Neo. Still a good deal if you want the Avata 2

I'm too late anyway, this was a one day deal and I missed it (one of those sites that only has temporary deals, sometimes quite good), but I wonder if they work with the Mini 3 Pro.

From the looks of the compatibility list, it should.

Been in this hobby way to long to have mastered anything. I'm sure the Avata 2 makes for a nice FPV drone but with the motion controller, experience will be similar to the Neo.

Most of the reward and excitment of the hobby can be found by experimenting.
There was FPV way before DJI. Here's a camera mounted on a toy drone. It did well and was very rewarding.

For the readers that are thinking of going the other route, do know the learning curve is bigger, but the bigger the challenge the bigger the reward.

At the end of the day what ever you fly, they will always play well with others.

Those times of the Flywoo LR4 are with Lipos or Li-ion batteries DAFlys?

They sell a pack made from 18650 batteries for the longer flight times.

Yes I did all of that sort of thing years ago with Heli's Fixed Wing, Quad Copters as we called them and even Turbine Jets. This is why I still have over 220 RC Model. Now however I just want to fly somthing rewarding, hassle and stress free and where you are likely to come back with all you equipment in tact. Believe me standing on the flying field and watching you £3,000 turbine scale jet hit the deck looses its appeal after a while.

In the Neo and Avata 2 DJI have provided this and I am very pleased they did.

In the pictures you show I suppose I could say been there and done that. But I think people should remember that this is a DJI Forum not a DIY FPV Forum

Thanks DAFlys,

They are Lion batteries, just as i suspected, but I am not sure if I am looking well the webpage because I am unable to find the C-rating. However, the good of the Lion batteries is that they are much less dangerous than the Lipos.

The problem here in Spain is that we cannot fly further than 500m unless you get the permission to fly under the STS-02 rules
