We took the little DJI Neo and the Avata 2 to Great NOTLEY Country Park on one of the first sunny days in the UK for 2025. It is not the most interesting place to fly but good to practice.
I also came across an interesting phenomenon. Because wearing the goggles your brain tells you you are in the aircraft and I was not familiar with the area I was looking for people to avoid. When flying I repeatedly saw myself and thought it was another person. Most odd at first.

The other interesting thing was the Neo was quite quiet in the open space at distance.

I was flying with the excellent goggles N3 and the incredible motion controller 3.

Almost 8 minutes of flying around the same field? For me, 2 1/2 minutes of flight video is enough. Even then I don't want to see more then 15 seconds of the same area. Just one "troll's" opinion. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

We will certainly go back there another time as I have a job near there. Hopefully the Cafe will be open then

Some people like more some people like less. Some people understand you Tube some don't Good Job we are all different

Nice footage.

Yes, it's amazing out of body experience without drugs. Much cheaper too.

Do you think putting an ELRS TX in the motion controller 3 is a good idea, so that the MC3 crowd could try other quad's

A very reasonable priced way to start this would be to buy the DJI Neo motion fly more combo for £439. In that you get the goggles N3, Neo, the Excellent Motion Controller 3 and 3 batteries and charge case with various other little bits. Not sure if you can buy this in your country though.

No point and you know it won’t work. Other Quads are way more expensive and are a massive retrograde step given the reduced flight time, wires hanging all over the place and not nearly as good. Oh and no Gps of course.you can however fly them like a jittering bouncing mess and put people and the hobby in danger

Bad luck,   I flew over a hill that I fly over at least twice a week and this time lost connection,   usually the connection there is really solid.    Luckily no damage done.

I'm not interested in the Neo myself.
I have to justify the cost for me and getting good footage is the only way to do that.
But I'll keep an eye on this website, it has deals in every line of business, but only very temporary (selling old stock from big shops).

Just feet for that flight which were handy as they made a bright orange bread crumb trail to the crash site.
