After learning to fly with a Syma X5C-1 i decided to go for a Phantom 3 Standard. I got it about two weeks ago and so far I couldn't be happier with it. The range turned out to be at least double the CE specified 500m and that's more than enough for me. The camera is way better than I thought it would be.

Here's a video from my first week as a Phantom pilot. It was filmed over and around the island where I live in Sweden. All flying was done in P-mode (I haven't tried the other modes yet) and I used an iPhone 5S for FPV. Editing was done in Sony Vegas Pro 13.

Sweden has got some good spots for flying, although my film collection from here is starting to have a few too many trees in it...   luckily i get to travel with my P3 a bit.

maybe the locals on this forum should do a Sweden get-together before winter sets in too harshly?!

Nice work. I'm impressed by your gimbal control. As a beginner I'm still trying out what looks good or not. What gimbal pitch settings are you using (EXP, smooth)?

I'd love to bring my Phantom abroad as well. I don't think there's one place in Sweden where you can climb to 100m without seeing trees.

Have you done any flying in subzero temperature?

Thank you. I used default settings for pretty much everything. Haven't started fiddling with the settings yet.

no sub-temps YET.  I will try it though. there is no way that i will last the whole winter without flying.
