Hi all,

I recently had a minor crash on a sandy beach, which resulted in my Phantom getting a bit of sand near (and apparently into) at least one of the motors. It seemed to work OK immediately after I carefully shook/tapped the sand out, and I had another successful flight that day. However, today (two weeks later) when I fired it up again, that motor wouldn't cooperate and couldn't spin nearly as fast as the other three. I didn't dare even trying to take off.
Does anyone have any experience with sand in a motor? I'm hoping this is something I can resolve myself, instead of having to send it somewhere to be replaced. Should I try blowing it out with compressed air, maybe?

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Use compressed air to blow it out while turning it.

It might not just be a sand issue only. Check for corrosion, because that sometimes takes a while to cause symptoms.
