I received my X5 the other day and the Vibration board is coming tonight. The question is should I or shouldn't I. I have a job tomorrow and would love to show it off but I am worried about flight time with the batteries and can the motors handle the load??

I got the X5 two days ago and now I have 8 flights with it. I would not change just before a job. You will as you know loose flight time - but that will not be your biggest problem. The Inspire 1 becomes a lot heavier and it flight different - not bad but different. You will get a different lens with a different fov. You will be unfamiliar with the camera settings. My advice is stick to your X3 for your next job - then go for the X5 - it is a nice camera.

rjs21989, before the job, you'd better not change anything in your aircraft!  Upgrade after work is the wise way to go

Wait it out and not take the risk for the gig!

I can not tell exactly how much time I loose but here is some screenshots that can give you an idea

Looks like you are getting 6 minute hit with X5

I have gone through app. 30 batteries so far while flying my Inspire Pro and have come to the conclusion that you will lose at least 4-6 minutes flight time per battery.  I now carry an Inspire with the X3 in case I need some extra flight time.

When I upgrade to the X-5 do I have to upgrade the firmware to the Inspire 1 pro?

yes you do.
Just go to the DJI page for the X5, find downloads and load it up
