Has anyone installed tall landing gear for ginbal clearance on the v.2 version? Since the compass is now encapsulted on the original landing gear, I am wondering how to install tall landing gear and maintain compass integrity.

Hi has this problem improved any? Looking for a good solution with the inbuilt compass of the Phantom 2 Version 2?

Just taped the compass to the extended landing gear with electrical tape. It works fine. They also make white tape

I really want a way to add wider more stable skids to make landing easier. I saw a video where someone made longer skids that spread at each end to keep them out of the video using some plastic pipe, a dremel tool and some epoxy. That appears to be the best solution currently since no company sells them pre-made. They can be popped off too which you need if you ever want to put your Phantom in a case.

I took the cheap route and made these out of 1 1/2 inch PVC cut 1/2" wide
