Hi all. Yesterday I was inspecting my P2V+ and found some tiny cracks around the motor screws on all 4.Should I be concerned ? Should I take it back to the dealer ? Has it happen to any of you before ? It this covered by the guaranty ?

Will keep an eye on this for sure as I am 25+ flights...
One thing I noticed from your photos is the markings on your motors as "2312"
I have a new P2V+ V3.0 and no markings at all on my motors...hmmmm...need to check into this as I am wondering if I received old stock!

Same problem only 10 flights.

I think I know what the problem is. After a few flights I removed the top shell to inspect components. When removing the screws I noticed what looked like blue thread locker. So when I replaced the screws I applied a small amount of blue thread locker. Made sense to me, but after looking through some instructions under maintenance I noticed it said do not apply any thread locker or it may corrode the plastic frame. So I guess I am now out $60 for a new shell.

I inspected my brand new phantom 2 today. Only 7 flights, and i notice some cracks too. Even at a point where no screw is placed. Huge dissapointment, again.. My phantom 1 never had this problem, and was taken maybe 10 times apart. The new phantom only 2 times to build in iOSD and ESC check. No way the screws are tightened too hard. Send it back i guess?

yes anaerobic adhesives like threadlockers are poison to most thermoplastics and hairline cracks are often a sign of use of such a non plastic safe threadlocker compound since it migrates into the plastic and causes embrittlement.
