Dear all,

I am a beginer with a octocopter controlled by A2 controller.
My copter is going to fly in the area with extremely large magnetic declination.
Actually, I am working in the antarctica and the magnetic declination is larger than 130E.
Can the A2 controller calibrate the magnetic sensor? Otherwise, should I adjust the GPS direciton manually?
My phantom 2 was already crashed after an abnormal flight like toilet bowl effect today.
If anyone have an idea, please advise me.
Thank you

Regards,
Choon Ki Lee

First of all, declination is for satellites, you are dealing with MAGVAR (Magnetic Variation) as shown by the isogonic (blue) lines on your chart.  But all of that doesn't matter because GPS doesn't work well in the Arctic/Antarctic Circles!!  You're on Agility w/out GPS or Manual modes only, I wish you good luck!

We do not recommend GPS in the Arctic or Anartic Circles.  I would recommend that you fly in ATTI mode.  I would recommend that you calibrate the compass but beyond that ignore the GPS.
