Did my firmware upgrade, all successful.  Now, RC does not connect to bird.  Any one know what I'm doing wrong?

Woffski,
  Have you power cycled everything? Shut everything down and then start the RC, the P3 and then the GO App. If you did this already, then it needs further troubleshooting to double check the detailed upgrade log. Please advise again after a reboot. Thanks! (Does the RC show green or red on the left-most connect led?)

I did reboot everything.  The left most light on the RC is red.

Please take a look at Sploodge's thread on performing the update:

He also show retrieving the hidden detailed log file in the MISC/LOG folder. It will show all component upgrades. Review it to ensure everything successfully upgraded.

Woffski, if everything is upgraded successfully, our P3 user manual describes relinking the RC to the P3. It's also shown at the bottom of the DJI P3 Wiki here:
