Now they even (bothe have Sim)

- Adnroid has simple file system (can cut and paste) without Itune
- Cheaper
- Can buy Octo Cores and fast Proc ? than Ipad?
- Can buy the most brightest display ?
- Dont need to have Simcard (most have buit in GPS ?)


Anyone can comment ?  I am giving my ipad mini2 to my daughter... need a Phantom only Tablet

I've had zero issues on my Nexus 7 2013. Thin, light, compact at 7 inch, fast enough and plenty of storage. I just ordered a spare and it cost me more than mine did when they were still being produced. For me I want nothing smaller than 7, nothing bigger and definitely nothing thicker.

Samsung tab s 10.5 for me only drawback was no simulator but thats history now with the release of the new DJI GO app for android

I am checking out Samsung Tab S2 ..

I installed DJI go on the store sample OK.  It has  GPS/Glonass built in

- Is the display brighter than my Ipad mini 2?

- Hows the battery life of this ?

well, if you love android... please... but I wonder do you really play flight simulator that much?

I have a tabs s 8.s just love it super bright display and 0 lagg, have all so heard heaps of peeps raving about the tabS2 saying its awesome with the goapp  as well.

Note 5 is working perfect no issues after 5 flights you could possibly add it to the list.

Many of us have no use for Ipad or Iphones.

It is not a love of android so much as love of money and freedom of choice.

As the OP noted at this point in time android is just a more flexible, usable OS for most folks.
I also see more issues posted with IOS products vs androids.

I have a Plus and a P3A both work perfectly with my Motorola MotoX 2015 for what it is worth.
I can see the screen clearly in bright daylight and sun on it.

The new Nvidia Shield. Could be a tad brighter but it's a gaming tablet with fast processors, HDMI output, built in screen recorder. I put another 64gb card in it just to hold all of my flight screen recordings.

maybe it's just my own experience, all androids i used are samsungs and the are laggy, no matter how new is the phone, no matter how you clean the ram and cpu. ( used to use s3 s4 note 3 note4 and s6 edge)  unfortunately i got the worse experience running DJI GO on the top class android smartphone  S6 edge... but who knows, maybe is just happened to me

Im convinced the android problem is caused by the latest google play service and google play store, i roll them all the way back and touch wood never get the slightest of signal problems.

last  androids were Motorola motoX,  both worked no issues ever, never had a Samsung , but I have seen S3 mentioned a good bit,
Samsung has a proprietary layer on top of android.

Nexus and Motorola Moto X don't have any layer like that they  are mostly pure android OS...

What are you using to mount your tab s onto the device mount?

The standard device holder its a bit of a squeeze i removed the soft cushion in the bottom of the jaws of the holder tight but sound.There are device mount extensions to be bought if you prefer.

I agree, use my tab s purely for flight yes it can control you if you let it .Roll them back and switchum off a must do for a lag free device.

1.rollback google play sevices to your earliest im running 4.3.24
2 rollback google play store to your ealiest im running  4.8.22
3 open developer options and turn off all 3 animation control scales
4 select limit background processes enter no background processes
5 enable flight mode
Check the google services apps when ever you turn of your device and reboot as ive said before their persistant little buggers and sometimes update their selves without permission
result is no lag/latency no loss of signal no increase in device temperature ever.Smooth as silk
Let us know how it works for you.

Go Android. Root your device. Install Greenify pro. Put to sleep every nonessentiall app and service, and you'll free plenty resources for the dji app.

Where can i get kitkat and play store 4,8.22 ?

1 Go into your device
2 select settings
3 open applications
4 select the two google apps seperately and uninstall, follow promps
On my device this rolls back the two apps to the original factory google settings
If your running lollipop dont think you can go back to kitkat i never updated to lollipop because of this
Not to worry im sure it will all still work

Go to the download page . And you'll find a "Google Play" icon in that page . You click that icon ,and the downloading window comes out .

Shield k1 works nice, perhaps dji-patrick needs to add it to the compatible list. Time the list was updated since they're all very old technology on there right now

If I am correct, a Thinkpad is a Windows device, and the DJI Go App does not support windows.
