I guess you're supposed to move the yellow circle to the spot you want to fix the exposure. Am I correct? If so, how do you do it without activate the blue circle? Are there any serious instructions out there?

Don't touch and move - that moves the camera around.   Just tap once on the area where you want the spot exposure, a yellow square appears at that point.  Try it when there are light and dark areas in the scene, and you can clearly observe the exposure compensating.  To activate the blue camera-mover circle you touch and hold.

blue circle is trigged by long press.

Thanks. So simple! Last night, I got to see the  UHD footage on a 'proper' TV - absolutely stunning picture quality.
