hi

can somebdy tell me if the camera of the phantom 3 STANDARD is better than the phantom 2 vision plus v3?
i saw that the Phantom 2 has 14 megapixels and  phantom 3 has 12 megapixels.
Is the  live HD view as good as it is said in the web?

what other improvements worths the change?

I saw that there aré parámetros better in the phantom 2 specs as the ascend speed that is 6 in ph2 and 5 in ph3

That's one of the beast parts, you get full 720 HD with the Phantom line, you only get 480 with the Vision. That feature alone is incredible, try to find someone by you with one and watching live 720 HD is amazing.

     The first question is can you even buy a P2 Vision+?  The P3 Standard records video in 2K (actually 2.7).  2K is more that twice the video resolution of 1080p.  So for video, the P3 Standard has twice the quality video as the P2 V+.  The 14 megapixels of the P2 V+ camera is spread over a wider field of view (FOV) for the P2 V+ than the 12 megapixels of the P3S (110° / 85° for P2 compared to 94° for P3).

     Yes, the P2 ascends faster than the P3S, but the P3S descends one foot per second faster than the P2 because the P3 design has been modified to resist Vortex Ring State.  The P2 series has a problem with Vortex Ring State if it descends too fast.  Many pilots complain about descent speeds being too slow for many Phantoms and other makes of quadcopter.  (They usually do not know about Vortex Ring State.)

     In general, the technology of the P2 is older and less capable in most areas of use.  For example, the video feed of the P3 Standard is 720p, twice the video feed of the P2 V+.

     I hope this helps you understand the technology of the two products better.

That should have been ... 720p @ 30 fps for the P3 vs 480p @ 15 fps for the P2V+
The difference is huge.
