That is disappointing. This would be a great tool for the Fire service and Law Enforcement.

Well its out now Thermal Camera by Flir with its own Gimbal - No price tag at present or release date though.

They say first qtr of 2016. So,that probably means we will be able to order them on March 28th, they will arrive in June, and they will be like an an extra $3000 plus we will have to buy the big X5 mount for those of us who don't have an X5 model yet.
I hope DJI proves me wrong and makes it so you can just plug in the X3 when you need it or plug in the XT if that's what you need without changing all the mounts. I also hope they some how make it somehow affordable. I bet that's a pipe dream though since I had to spend $649 on the Osmo which I think should have been $449 for someone who already owned an Inspire.

FLIR is used by so many people and a ton of uses. For example the Military and we see their videos uploaded to Youtube etc. And then there is the boating world. I would think that it is just a matter of the firmware.

The price is what I am waiting for. If it is within reach (I have a short arm) I will grab one for sure. Hopefully they will take quantity in consideration.
